With the Sam its completely different – you can watch her reviews just if you want to listen her great (yes – silly and childish, but really unique!) comments. She is interesting, unlike the girl from the video you posted. Her presentations are not for you, and not for people who want technical details about the camera. They are for those who want to be excited – about the girl, and about the camera.
July 14th, 2010 - 15:39
Generally the girl you are talking about, is a professional, and I will listen to her when I want to really get more info on the product she is presenting. It is even good that the girl herself doesn’t attract any attention towards her, because you can concentrate on the product. But the style of her presentation is nothing to get excited about and it is a bit boring.

July 15th, 2010 - 06:53
Overcranking is a type of slow motion capture.
July 15th, 2010 - 07:49
I don’t know what the hell you are talking about… if you capture 1000 frames per second you can capture an event which takes like 1 second and play it back at 25 fps, which will virtually stretch it to 40 seconds, allowing you to see something you wouldn’t see because it’s going on too fast in 1 second…
those aren’t ment to be played back at 1000 frames per second… but 1 second captured with this will be played for 40 seconds at 25fps… smooth slomo… that’s what slow motion is.
July 15th, 2010 - 08:26
You are wrong, so because movies and TV is displayed in 24.blah FPS you are saying that because it is a consant FPS it will look the same as 60? I can notice a difference in TV and games. The FPS tends to be to make the files smaller and of course recieving the data a lot easier back in the day when it was hard to transmit TV. 24 FPS is fine and looks fine but when compared to a game running at 60 you can see the difference.
July 15th, 2010 - 08:26
@ GCVos
As mentioned before, usually Overcranking captures are usually done by recording at 48fps instead of the standard 24, as that’s what most films and TV shows are recorded at these days.
July 15th, 2010 - 09:04
@ eNLivEx
The human eye sees 24 fps and up as “smooth”. The reason gamers deem this as unplayable is because consistent frame rates are a rarity, so we’ll be able to see choppy gameplay because it would drop below 24 frequently.
Many TV shows(and TV sets) display at 24fps or 25fps as that’s all that is needed for us to see things “smoothly”. We don’t see any choppy footage because it’s a consistent smooth frame rate and doesn’t fluctuate like video games.
July 15th, 2010 - 10:00
@ realredfox
I was reflecting upon it from a video maker’s POV, but if you want to talk about slow motion captures then fine.
It won’t be useful for that too, when people are doing Overcranking catpures they usually do up the frame rates from the standard 24 to 48. Getting one for a thousand would be a waste of money, as barely anyone would use it.
July 15th, 2010 - 10:22
Why can you not speak English? Stop asking questions.
July 15th, 2010 - 11:15

July 15th, 2010 - 11:38
24 up? So your saying from 24 to 60 looks the same? wha- it’s for slow motion
July 15th, 2010 - 11:53
? why is she in the middle of no ware
July 15th, 2010 - 11:56
Have you even heard of slow-motion?
July 15th, 2010 - 12:28
what the hell are you talking about?
do you even realize that those 1000 fps are ment to be used for slow motion captures?
July 15th, 2010 - 12:46
I like 70 fps, then it’s super smooth. over that, no diffirences
July 15th, 2010 - 13:02
are they really fucking comparing this to 2 mega pixels? Really? even cellphones have better cameras.
July 15th, 2010 - 13:56
I do.
LCD monitors can only display 60-120.
Old CRT’s go up to 200, and TV’s go anywhere from 25 to 200, depending on model and price and all that.
The other 800 would be useless. Plus our eye sees 24 and up as smooth =/
