Digital camera photo gets duller when USB’d to the computer?

Question by Cyrus J: Digital camera photo gets duller when USB'd to the computer?

Why does this happen and what can I do about it?

That happens. When it's on the smaller screen it can look stunning! When it gets transferred and you can see it clearer you see how it really looks. It's a pain in the ass -_____- There's really nothing you can do except photoshop, which personally I hate. Or you could try getting a better lense/camera or play around with the settings to see what has the most attractive results.
Good luck and happy shooting!!

  1. Your computer monitor needs calibration.

Usually monitors are “close enough” for most uses. With photography, when the user will be making changes in contrast, brightness and overall colour rendering, monitors need to be calibrated every 4 weeks if the monitor is a LCD and every week if a CRT.
