Question by doodlebug: What batteries are used for a sony alpha A 100K slr digital camera?
I was just wondering what type of batteries a SONY ALPHA A100K 10.2MP DIGITAL SLR CAMERA would use and how expensive they would be. Thanks!!
i'm buying the camera over the internet, and it is saying that they don't have the battery charger or the battery because they already gave that away.

Answer by Thorbard
The Sony Alpha DSLRs use camera specific rechargeable batteries. A battery and charger will be supplied with your camera. Additional batteries will be about 0 though if you aren't planning to take thousands of photographs in one go, you won't need a spare.

  1. i am sorry but this lady doesn’t know what is she talking about. She doesn’t know what is purpose of U1 and U2. There are a lot of positive point of the camera that she doesn’t know. If someone doesn’t know about this camera and want to buy then don’t watch this video.

  2. @HDFootballPlay shes really famus for her macro photography style :)

  3. its a girl ?

  4. What the fuck is that?

  5. Give her a Hasselblad to review.. she will tell you it’s a useless camera!

  6. THIS WOMEN LOOKS LIKE ADAM MORRISON

  7. when will nikon make there camera be able to shoot a video for an ahour like canon dslr cameras

  8. Men or Women ?

  9. nice moustache

  10. finally got one and the quality of the pictures are AMAZING! it can turn ordinary moments to extraordinary photos! thumbs up to Nikon

  11. @rainshadow000 did you check the d5100? you should!

  12. @rainshadow000 Well, IMO the D3100 looks like a much better deal, amazon.com/dp/B003ZYF3LO/?tag=ktech01db-20 After the D5000 amazon.com/dp/B00267S7TQ/?tag=ktech01db-20 As compared to the D7000.

  13. @ElectronicsFanBoy yes thank you u answered my question. Im thinking of getting d5000 or this d7000 depending on my budget :(

  14. @rainshadow000 There’s no D8000, if that’s what you mean. Are you asking for the latest DSLR? IMO, if you just want quality, then go for a Canon EOS. The best DSLR period, IMO is the EOS 5d mark ii; youtube.com/watch?v=05130vpff9k or the EOS 7D; amazon.com/dp/B002NEGTU6/?tag=ktech01db-20

  15. is D7000 the Latest?

  16. Nice review.

  18. thanks for caring about us strangers :)
nice vids, keep them coming sir

  19. @cugglester…Thanks, hope your learning some!

  20. great video!!!

  21. …features on the 7D and a lot more tools to help you obtain better images. This, coming from someone who has shot on both nikon and canon dslrs. If choosing between the 7D and D7000 for what your budget is allowing and the type of photography you will be doing, then I will strongly suggest the 7D. This will afford you the most flexibility for photo and especially video. Image quality is excellent and you will have tons of fun shooting with it! Hope this helps, all the best to you!!!

  22. @rafeyavailable Ok, so your image may vary slightly better to obviously better on both cameras. For example, the nikon d7000 has a tendency to overexpose your images (this is a big complaint among d7000 users) whilst the canon seems to almost get it right. If you basing the choice of camera on image quality alone, it is a TOUGH call. For most, it’s a matter of functionality coupled with image quality. Both take great images, but both are not created equal. I find that there are more useful…

  23. @KreativeVueTV Thank you very much for the in-depth answer. Il be doing more of portrait and landscape and a bit of macro photography. I will be taking a camera Body ONCE, and will not change (I will only be investing in lenses). Canon ISO is acceptable. I agree with the features too. Could you tell me if comparing 7D and D7000 photo quality, will their be a major difference? or will it be exactly the same?
    And..

  24. …performs Canon in noise at higher ISO’s. You get more bang for your buck with a 7D as it comes loaded with a lot of features that, once you get familiarized, will serve as powerful tools. Sorry for the long winded response. Please let me know if you have anymore questions or clarification. All the best!

  25. …This is not to say that the Nikon is not an exceptional camera (see response to apayapa12 below). I personally enjoy the fast focusing and the 8fps. The 7D performs superbly with portraits as well – depending on the shoot I will often use my 7D. This response may sound biast, but the 7D does out perform nikon in areas that are key for me to produce the images I’m looking for. In closing you’ll have to ask yourself what features are you more interested in? On a side note, nikon does out…

  26. @rafeyavailable Hello, my first question to you would be…what kind of photography will you be doing? Apart from this question, let me separate some key differences. Canon/Nikon-8fps/6fps, Canon/NIkon-19ptAF/39ptAF, Canon/Nikon Full Magnesium Body/Partial Magnesium Body. In my opinion…Canon handles black and saturation a lot better than Nikon. Canon 7D is a more versatile camera. It Takes fantastic video, more often than not the 7D focuses faster, strong solid build, faster frame rate…

  27. Hey man, awesome stuff here! I need some advise though.

    Should I go for,
    1)Canon 7D
    2) Nikon D7000

Which one do you think is the best, keeping everything in mind. (My priority is Photos NOT video!) Please consider all the features and value.
    Waiting for your reply!
    Cheers .

  28. @apayapa12 I think your camera choice will be based on what your more comfortable with. Both cameras offer excellent qualities. NIkon cameras produce very rich and vivid colors, while canon cameras make up for what they lack in color with detail and sharpness. This is not to say NIkon does not produce sharp images, this is just where canon shines. If you shoot video, then I will then again suggest canon as these cameras are the most versatile, and in my opinion, the best video quality on a DSLR.

  29. i have another problem one day i used nikon D7000 its very perfect like pro camera.
some times i thing goes for nikon D7000 whats in your mind nikon d7000 is best more than canon or canon is the best.what do you think….nikon camera is perfectly pro-form in night but canon 7D dos not.

  30. @apayapa12 Since this channel is dedicated to helping get the most without breaking the bank, I would suggest considering the 430ex, if your budget does not allow for more. This being said, the 580exii/430ex are more practical choices to use with your canon as they will take full advantage of your cameras capabilities (e.g. ETTL function). The sb-900 is fine off camera when used with other canon flashes. I use 430ex and 580ex’s as well as an sb-600. Let me know if you need further assistance.

  31. thanks man… really good man.but i want to know which flash gun model is perfect to canon 7D speed lite sb-900 or canon ex 580 (2).pleas bro…

  32. @blackrmc Hi again, great to hear from you! As a strobist there is really no need for the IS feature, as it is a fast lens. So when shooting in lower light I still get great results. I NEVER use the IS feature when shooting in full daylight or when using a faster shutter speed (e.g. 1/125+). With the IS feature the only real difference is going to be the price, which will be substantial. As many strobist would say, including myself, GO with the 24-70. Let me know how it works out. Thanks!

  33. hi again just a last minute question before I decide on buying a lens. I’m planning to get the 24-70 however the replacement is coming this year and they said its goin to have the IS. So in strobe work will IS create a huge difference in the images? should i get it or wait? Thanks

  34. thanks man! Keep it up!

  35. @TheChaliWorld …results. It is specially designed for cropped censored cameras like the 60D. Depending how far advanced you are into your photography will dictate your need to dish out the extra money on a more expensive canon L series lens. If your shooting portrait, then I would suggest the 16-35mm or the Tamron 17-50 f2.8 (28-78 on the 60D). The Tamron is 50% less than the canon and produces great images. Hope this helps! Thanks again!

  36. @TheChaliWorld Thanks for your comment and your question. I hope I can be of some help to you. Your lens would greatly depend on what kind of photography you will be doing. The 60D is a cropped sensor camera, which would mean that almost all lenses would have a different focal length than that of a full frame camere (5d, 1d). if you would like to shoot landscape, then you would need a 11-16 to 16-35mm. Tokina (11-16mm f2.8) offers a great lens and an AWESOME price that will produce pleasing…

  37. Hey man that was a well put together video. What type of lens do you think
I should get since I been shooting for about 1.5 yr/hlf? And now I’m getting my canon 60D I think that’s what it’s called? That would be a good lens to star with that camera. Pls all info will be greatly taken.

  38. @blackrmc I apologies for my vagueness when I said I had more flexibility with my speedlites. Because the output is a little stronger on the 580exII I can over power stronger light sources such as the sun. Additionally, I can position my flash(s) a little further away from my subject to obtain various desired light. I will cover using flashes on our 3rd webisode. Ok, 17-55 is not a bad lens, but consider this, the 16-35L f2.8 offers weather resistant sealing, a wider range and is cheaper than…

  39. …the 17-55. I currently shoot with the 24-70 and I’m NOT disappointed with its sharpness. My assumption to why some might say it’s a little soft maybe contributed to the fact that it does not come with IS equipped, they’re shooting in very low light, thus producing soft images as a result of a slow shutter. I NEVER encounter this problem as my speedlites allow me to use a quick aperture and the weight of the lens helps me to keep it steady. It is a sold well built work horse

  40. Thanks for the response! this helps a lot. I’ll recommend this channel to my friends. Last question what do you think about the 17 55 2.8 from canon? cause im planning to get one next month. I plan to get the 24-70 but a lot of people say that its not sharp enough or wide enough for a crop? and what do u mean flexibility for those speedlites?

  41. @blackrmc…Great question! It is more often than not a misconception that going bigger is always better…this is not the case with flashes (strobes). Shooting with the 430exII can produce similar images as shooting with the 580exII. Though, the results can vary depending on the type of shooting you are doing. I own a 430exII and did a lot of strobist work with that before purchasing the 580exII and found that their were minor differences. Noted that the 580exII does allow more flexibility
