@Vrezziss Yes, you should. Make sure you get the Panasonic 14-45, 20, and 45-200 lens and you’re set. I just bought a GF1 to implement my 40D.

can you tell me why then Leica cameras are so expensive. There is Leica x1 due out January with none of the bells and whistles of GF1 for $1200. Is the lens quality that noticeable in the shots to justify the price? Thanks.

@dingo27mobile All micro four thirds cameras have a 4:3 aspect ratio and their lens focal lengths have 2x crop factor, so a 50mm 4/3rds lens is equivalent to 100mm on a 35mm film camera.

if u still don’t make up ur decision, u better buy panasonic GF1…. it’s much more better in picture’s focus result…… olympus still can blur a little in focus… it’s harder to make sure the focus properly from the lcd screen of olympus’s……..

@WhatDigitalCamera srry i typed the wrong olympus camera. i want to compare the panasonic gf1 with Ep2 or E-PL1. which would u chose.

@drake1990 They’re pretty closely matched, with EP1 better in some areas and GF1 in some others. GF1 has flash and option of EVF, and better AF, so probably edges it in my view, but really it comes down to personal preference.

@booJ13 No, though it does have some things in common: interchangeable lenses, DSLR-size sensor (same as in Olympus DSLRs) full manual controls. But no optical viewfinder system.
